Ottawa – January 18, 2018 – The Ottawa and national sport community came together to celebrate the official opening of the House of Sport at the RA Centre. At present, over 20 National Sport Organizations (NSO), Multi-Sport Organizations (MSO), not-for-profits and sport-related businesses are members of this collaborative and innovative sport hub. Mayor Jim Watson, the RA, House of Sport member organizations, project partners and Ottawa Tourism welcomed the enthusiastic group who assembled on the second floor of the House of Sport, gathering on the mezzanine and ABI Stadium.The House of Sport will strengthen theconnection to Canadian sport by supporting the organizations that help athletes grow and develop from playground to podium. This is something the RA has been passionately contributing to for the last 75 years.
C.A. Paradis / Chef’s Paradise is a proud project partner in this $8 million House of Sport project supporting the imminent launch of their new Café. With 36,000 square feet of the RA Centre’s west wing transformed to accommodate the new House of Sport, organizations like Hockey Canada, Canoe Kayak Canada, Wrestling Canada, Speed Skating Canada, Coaching Canada, Sport For Life, Fencing Canada, and many more will co-locate and collaborate on developing sport for Canada.
Ottawa is thriving. Celebrating the completion of Canada’s 150th anniversary, numerous national sporting events were hosted in our capital. C.A. Paradis / Chef’s Paradise has been proudly serving the local food service community for 97 years. We support organizations like the RA Centre with shared regional heritage, values, and focus on the regionwhile making a difference – healthy living and development of sport. Chef’s Paradise, as a close neighbour to the RA Centre, provides ready access to small kitchen appliances, tools, small wares, and expertise needed to support healthy choices at home.
